The Henry Angell-James Memorial Trust
was set up by Henry’s wife Sally following his untimely and sudden death due to heart
failure on a train returning home to Shrewsbury from work six years ago. In his memory,
HAJMT is on a mission to help save the lives of others by raising money to buy free Public
Access Defibrillators, sometimes also referred to as Automated External Defibrillators
(AED).
Working with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, HAJMT’s aim is to buy as many AEDs as
possible, identify key locations and install them across Shropshire, the West Midlands and
beyond.
To date, over 110 AEDs have been given to communities around Shropshire and the West
Midlands. The charity has relied solely on the generosity of private donations and
fundraising events to secure more AEDs to satisfy the continuous applications it receives.
Tom Bradby, HAJMT Ambassador, ITV New Anchor and Author"I am delighted to support the Henry Angell-James Memorial Trust charity in my role as Ambassador and it is incredible that since Sally set up the charity in 2019 there have been over 110 AEDs placed in and around the communities the Trustees set out to support. But, as with everything, costs go up and it is vital we can continue to raise funds to be able to give this lifesaving equipment to as many applicants as we can. It is therefore fabulous to hear about this wonderful event being organised by Callaghan's of Shrewsbury on Sunday 22nd June where all proceeds through ticket sales will be given to the charity. What a wonderful excuse to visit one of Shropshire's most beautiful private estates, it's stunning gardens and to view fabulous art and sculpture at the same time as supporting HAJMT".

Callaghans of Shrewsbury which is based in one of Britain's most beautiful historical towns.
Our extensive inventory of British and European 19th, 20th and 21st century fine paintings
includes an array of genres from dramatic landscapes, cool fresh seascapes, and beautifully
detailed still lifes. Some artists you will know and some you will learn to love. With
detail as fine as spun silk, thick rich impasto together with broad glossy impressionist
strokes we hope to capture your imagination within the pages of this website.
Our collection of contemporary British original bronze sculptures ranges from dancers in
quiet repose by the emotion evoking late Benson Landes, elegant female forms inspired by
both the art deco and classical era by the hugely talented late Carl Payne, a stunning
collection of wild birds and animals by the renowned artist Richard Smith and a wonderful
collection of animalia by Tobias Martin. We are also proud to present a sumptuous extensive
collection of fine furniture by the notable and innovative designer Carlo Bugatti whose work
continues to delight and fascinate.
